We guarantee that, to the greatest practical extent, every product that is not actively reused at DragonFlye Inn will be either organically grown, manufactured with sustainable practices or some combination of both. Wherever possible all products will be bought only from companies dedicated to Fair Trade standards of practice.
You will be provided soaps made locally from all natural materials. Even the trash bin liner (when not a reused plastic grocery bag) and the cleaning products we utilize are 100% natural, biodegradable and earth friendly.
Our pledge extends beyond the products you will immediately utilize or consume as our guest. As we update this 1874 “cottage”, you will eventually sleep under a faux-slate roof made from recycled automotive tires, be kept warm by insulation made from recycled plastic, and by the end of 2008 more than 30% of all the energy keeping you comfortable during your stay will be generated on site from either solar or wind power; 80% by 2010.
